🐖 The Pig is the sweetest, most good-natured sign in the Chinese zodiac, kind and honest and easily content, the one who finds happiness in simple, ordinary comfort. If you were born in 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, or 2019, this is your year. The hydrangea is her flower, and the two suit each other perfectly. It's the bloom of heartfelt feeling and gratitude, of abundance and quiet thankfulness for what you already have. Together they hold a small, warm truth, that contentment is its own kind of wealth, and the smallest things are often the ones most worth leaning in to see.
🖼️ This is another painting in my Chinese Zodiac series, twelve animals, each given its own little world. It's an original watercolor and gouache painting, made by hand and finished with my red seal.
