🐇 The Rabbit is the gentlest sign in the Chinese zodiac, quiet and kind and gracious, the one who moves softly through the world and makes everyone near feel calm. If you were born in 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, 2023, or 2035, this is your year. The jasmine is the rabbit's flower, and the two suit each other sweetly. It's the bloom of grace and pure affection, small and unassuming and quietly beloved. Together they hold a small, warm truth, that the gentlest love is the kind that simply wants to hold what it treasures close, and stay a while.
🖼️ This is another painting in my Chinese Zodiac series, twelve animals, each given its own little world. It's an original watercolor and gouache painting, made by hand and finished with my red seal.
