🐅 The Tiger is the brave, magnetic force of the Chinese zodiac, powerful and confident and born to lead, even as a cub with more presence than a creature that size should have. This is the largest painting in the whole collection, sized to give such a majestic animal room to breathe. If you were born in 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022, or 2034, this is your year. The orchid is the tiger's flower, and the two are well matched. For centuries the orchid has stood for nobility, refinement, and quiet integrity, strength that never needs to raise its voice. Together they hold a small, warm truth, that real power is calm, and the strongest ones are gentle enough to let their friends think they got away with it.
🖼️ This is another painting in my Chinese Zodiac series, twelve animals, each given its own little world. It's an original watercolor and gouache painting, made by hand and finished with my red seal.
