🐒 The Monkey is the clever, curious spark of the Chinese zodiac, quick and bright and endlessly wondering, though even the liveliest minds have their quiet, faraway moments. If you were born in 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016, or 2028, this is your year. The chrysanthemum is her flower, and it suits her deeply. It blooms late when other flowers have given up, a sign of long life, resilience, and joy that lasts. Together they hold a small, warm truth, that a wandering mind and a steady heart can live in the same small body, and being cared for is its own kind of home.
🖼️ This is another painting in my Chinese Zodiac series, twelve animals, each given its own little world. It's an original watercolor and gouache painting, made by hand and finished with my red seal.
